Hon Adama Sulemana interacts with Staff, students of Seikwa NMTC

 





The former District Chief Executive for Tain District in the erstwhile Mahama administration and now the Member of Parliament for Tain Constituency, has called on the staff and students of the Seikwa Nursing and Midwifery Training College.


On Monday, April 26, 2021, the new Member of Parliament paid a working visit to the school to hold series of discussions with the school administration on a number of issues, perturning to the general wellbeing of both staff and students of the school.


In an interaction with the management of the school, the Principal of the school pleaded with the Member of Parliament to come to their aide for the completion of an abandoned administration block that was started by the then NDC government but has since been left to the mercy of the weather.



According to the Principal, the completion of the administration will help the teaching staff with the needed spaces to keep their teaching materials and also have a place of comfort to prepare for lessons.


At a short gathering for the Member of Parliament to engage with the nursing trainees, Hon Adama Suleman stressed on the need for the students to take their courses with all seriousness as they will be going out to deal with human lives.


''You cannot determine on the number of courses you write but you can have total control on the grades you obtain'' Hon Sulemana Adama stated. 


The law Maker assured the trainees of his support for any student at all times should anyone of them call on him for any assistance. ''My doors are always opened to anyone if only you come with a genuine case''.



According to the MP, he was not ready to plead for any student who fails in his or her exam for promotion and reiterated on his call for the students to again concentrate on their studies all the time and added that ''if you call me on your grades, i am sorry i cannot help you''.


''When i was the Academic Coordinator here, students didn't like me because i used to pull them from under their beds to go for preps so i don't want any of you here to come to me and say that the tutors have failed me while you are the originators of the grades you obtain''.


The Member of Parliament took the opportunity to express his appreciations to the school administration, both teaching and non teaching staff and the entire students for their votes during the 2020 General Election.
